Audio

Every chapter, read aloud in a voice you can live with.

Each chapter's reading, names, and practice questions have a play button. The voice is natural, not robotic, and the section being read lights up on the page so eyes and ears stay together.

What you hear

  • The reading

The overview, what you will be able to do, every section summary, and the memory hooks, with a breath between sections.

  • The names

Short names like CNA are spelled out, then expanded, then explained, the way a teacher says them.

  • The practice

Each question is read, then the answer. Pause after the question, say your answer, and let it continue.

  • Your pace

Speeds from 0.8x to 1.5x, skip back and forward by section, and a Woman or Man voice that is remembered between chapters.

Why it sounds like a person

The audio is produced by a studio-grade neural voice rather than the phone's built-in reader, so sentences have natural stress and pauses. Chapterlume also rewrites the text for speaking first: abbreviations are expanded, bracketed terms become an aside, and symbols like percent and degrees are said as words.

Each passage is narrated once and kept, so replaying a chapter or switching tabs is instant. If the studio voice is ever out of reach, the player falls back to the voice on your device so the chapter still plays.

Listening questions

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The player sits at the top of the chapter and works in Safari and Chrome. Lock the screen and the audio keeps playing on most phones.

Can I follow along?

Yes. The card being read gets a highlight, and skipping with Back and Next moves the highlight with the audio.

Which voices are there?

An American English woman and man. Pick one from the player, and the choice is remembered.

Is the quiz read aloud?

Not yet. The quiz is meant to be answered on screen so the first tap counts. The reading, names, and practice tabs are all narrated.
