The path

From a PDF to a chapter you can study tonight.

Chapterlume does not invent a course outline. It reads the textbook you give it, finds that book's chapters, and builds the guide, quiz, and final test from those pages.

Four stops

Long books stay manageable because each chapter is a separate step. You can see progress as the guide fills in.

  1. 01

    Bring the textbook

Point your phone at the pages, upload a PDF you own, or pick an open textbook. Photos are cleaned up and read into text you can check before anything is written.

  2. 02

    Map the chapters

The front of the book and a one-line map of every page are read together. You get chapter titles with the PDF page ranges they cover.

  3. 03

    Generate a chapter

Open a chapter when you are ready. That request reads the full chapter text and returns a study guide and quiz written at the level you chose.

  4. 04

    Take the final test

Once chapters exist, a fresh end-of-book test is written from those guides. Older students also get written prompts with model answers.

New this month

  • Scan pages with the camera

Each photo is straightened and sharpened on your phone, then read by Claude into text with the page numbers and headers stripped. Retake any page that came back blurry.

  • Listen to any chapter

The reading, the names, and the practice questions can all be played aloud in a natural woman's or man's voice, with the card being read lit up on screen.

Why the pages matter

A generic study tool hears "biology" and guesses which facts are important. Your test follows the chapter your teacher assigned, including the examples, terms, and order that book uses.

Chapterlume keeps the guide inside that boundary. Summaries, questions, and wrong answers are tied to the text that was read, and the level you pick changes how those sentences sound.

If you do not have a file yet, search can look for an openly licensed textbook and hand back candidates with PDF links. Copyrighted books stay with you: upload a copy you own.

What to know before you start

  • PDFs, photos, and screenshots

Text PDFs are read directly. Photos, screenshots, and scanned PDFs are read page by page as images, so a book that is only on paper still works.

  • One chapter at a time

Guides are requested from the browser, chapter by chapter, so a long book does not have to finish in one shot.

  • Your account

Each guide belongs to the person who created it. Quiz scores and the best test score stay on that guide.
